“When I signed up for your service, I mistakenly thought it included a thorough hand wash using soap and water, the meticulous clay surface
cleaning that you can see on any utube video, the application and polishing of all paint surfaces with a mild compound, and finishing with a paste wax and buffing. This would take a minimum of 3 to 4 hours, even with two techs. Instead what I got was a power wash with liquid soap, a single pass with clay, not even checking if the clay was clean or dirty after use, the application of some liquid combined spray and wax, and machine buffing. That took maybe 1 1/2 hours. And for this you charged
$ 450. That makes you the McDonalds of detailing, except without the low price. I have restored and detailed classic cars for 40 years and been a judge at car shows, so I know what detailing involves. Compounding takes time, and spray wax lasts maybe 2 to 3 washes. You can get a spray wax at any carwash for $30. Your business model involves a pay incentive to do as superficial and hurried a job as possible so that you get as many cars done as possible in a day, giving you maximum return on investment. Of course you don't mention your detail technique in detail on your website. So I think your service is not honestly represented. I asked your techs to use my paste wax, and they left swirl marks on one side of the car-not enough time buffing, so they could get to the next job. I would not recommend your service to anyone wanting proper detailing.
