“Nice, polite, timely, good listener, careful . he did a beautiful job in polishing and restoring whole outside with his clay bar. Only one tiny miss on the inside of a hinge is why I did not give it a full 5.0. would have given 4.9”

“We looked forward to having a home detail service for several vehicles and trailers here on the property, but the price is extreme for the service and results. The GMC dually was in great condition and very clean when the detailer arrived, and he said so himself. Despite this, it took him almost five hours to clean, wax and detail the interior. A few hours in, he asked me to check the inside. It looked nice, but not great, and I pointed out a few places where dust was still very visible. "Oh, I was just going to do that." Okay, but then don't ask me if the inside is satisfactory. Honestly, if I had the time, I could have done the same for a lot less and in a lot less time. We were hoping to have a brand new aluminum 12 foot trailer washed and waxed too, and were willing to pay the extra for the wax, but it was too late in the day. So, he agreed to come two days later and finish the job. After three cancellations and reschedules (he didn't feel well, then it was a Sunday and he needed to rest, and then because he didn't have enough gas in his car to get to the property), he finally came on a day when we had so much going on, that we almost had to cancel ourselves. I just wanted this service closed out, so we rushed home to accommodate his schedule. This time, he was in and out in about an hour, but I couldn't tell the difference after he had so-called "washed" the vehicle. He doesn't actually wash the vehicle, as there is no water or sprayer involved. He essentially uses a wet towel and a spray bottle. The tires were still filthy, the rims too, and there was a residue I could wipe with my fingers. I was very disappointed for the price and results. His response? "Well, this is California." I'm not sure why a car detail is so much more expensive in Cali than Nevada (where I live and have a longterm relationship with an auto detailer), and why I would get less for my money. Both times I paid cash, but didn't receive a receipt. We have five vehicles and two three trailers on this ranch. He could have done very well for himself had he put in some initial effort. Worst of all, he suggested we bypass Detail.com in the future and contact him directly. Then, he exchanged numbers with my 80 year old mother, chatted with her multiple times over the phone without our knowledge, made backroom deals with her on multiple vehicles, and somehow ended up with access the property using a hidden key. So, I hope you can understand how this could not only be a security risk, but elderly abuse. ”
